Applicability

Tripod Academy is a trademark and training platform operated by Geniozz BV.
Training programmes, workshops and learning events offered under the Tripod Academy brand may be delivered by Geniozz BV or by independent trainers operating through their own organisations. This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data by Geniozz BV in connection with the Tripod Academy platform and related services.

Introduction

This privacy statement contains our information, explains personal data and the processing of personal data and for what purposes we process your personal information. It explains your rights, how we ensure your personal data is safe, and how long it is stored. This privacy statement applies when you visit one of our websites.
Geniozz is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers and visitors to its websites and views the protection of personal data as being of fundamental importance to the operation of its business.
Personal information about customers and website visitors is held securely and is treated with the utmost care. Geniozz complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and other privacy legislation. Depending on the service provided, personal data may be processed by Geniozz BV and/or by the relevant Training Provider. Where a Training Provider delivers training services under the Tripod Academy brand, that Training Provider may act as an independent data controller for the personal data required to deliver those services.

Personal data is data that provides information about you that directly or indirectly identifies you.

Processing personal data

By processing personal data, we mean the collection, recording, organisation, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by forwarding, dissemination or otherwise making available, combining, blocking, erasure or destruction of your personal data.
Geniozz captures data in the course of providing our services. Your personal details are stored when you take out a subscription to a publication or a newsletter, when you attend a conference or training course, order a publication, use our (interactive) services, or, if you have an internet customer account, register an interest in one of our services, or contact Geniozz for some other reason. The personal information we hold includes contact details, payment information, invoices, ordered products, job details, and any registrations of interest in products or services.
Where an independent Training Provider delivers training services, relevant personal data may be shared with that Training Provider for purposes including registration, training administration, certification, invoicing and participant communication.

Purposes

Geniozz BV and, where applicable, the relevant Training Provider use this information for the following purposes: so that we can contact you, to fulfill and process agreements with you, for the ordering process, so that we can inform you of changes to our services or products, so that we can deliver our products or services to you, to send newsletters if you gave permission, for general or targeted offers, for your account on our website, to post reviews, to provide other services, for our internal business processes, and to inform customers about relevant products, services and events offered by Geniozz.
We may share personal data with service providers that support the delivery of our services, such as training administration platforms, payment providers and logistics providers. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time. We process only the personal data necessary for these purposes.
We also process your personal information to fulfil legal obligations, improve our services, investigate complaints and prevent fraud. We never sell your personal information to third parties. We don't create profiles of you, and we don't make automated decisions that can have significant consequences for you. Where required by law, we enter into appropriate data processing agreements with suppliers who process personal data on our behalf.
Personal data may also be processed by the relevant Training Provider for the administration and delivery of training services, certification activities and related customer support.

Sharing Data with Training Providers

Personal data submitted through the Tripod Academy website or otherwise provided in connection with a training programme may be shared with the relevant Training Provider responsible for delivering the training. The Training Provider will process such data only for purposes related to the administration, delivery and follow-up of the training services.
The identity of the relevant Training Provider will be communicated through the quotation, proposal, registration confirmation, order confirmation or invoice relating to the training programme.

Your e-mail address

If you have specified your e-mail address (e.g. to subscribe to a newsletter), this may be used to inform you as a customer of other relevant products, services and events offered by Geniozz BV, Tripod Academy or the relevant Training Provider that may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe at any time. You may also have given your consent for relevant information about products, offers, and campaigns from and by Geniozz or other companies to be sent to your e-mail address from time to time. Geniozz carefully selects these companies.
Communications relating to a training programme may be sent either by Geniozz BV or by the relevant Training Provider.

Unsubscribing

Geniozz takes your preferences into account as much as possible in the provision of services and information. Geniozz often allows you to specify these yourself: for example, on your own personal interests or through your own account. If you no longer want to receive information about (new) products and services (by post, e-mail, etc.), you can unsubscribe by sending an e-mail to info@geniozz.com or in writing to Geniozz, Kingsfordweg 151, 1043 GR Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Your rights

Wish to know which personal data we processed? Send an email to info@geniozz.com requesting access to your data. You will receive a response to the request within one month.
Requests relating to personal data processed by a Training Provider may need to be forwarded to the relevant Training Provider for handling.

Viewing and correcting your personal information

You are entitled to view the personal information Geniozz holds on you at any time. If any information is incorrect, you can ask for it to be changed. To view your personal details, please get in touch with us by email at info@geniozz.com or in writing to Geniozz, Kingsfordweg 151, 1043 GR Amsterdam, The Netherlands, with details of your request. Please contact us at the address above with any questions about how Geniozz handles your personal information.
Are your personal data incorrect, incomplete, irrelevant for the purposes for which they are processed or otherwise in breach of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other legislation? Then you have the right to have your personal data corrected. Correction means correction, addition, deletion or blocking of your personal data.
You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, the right to have fewer data processed, the right to withdraw permission you have given and the right to data portability. Send your request to info@geniozz.com. You will receive a response to the request within one month.
We would also like to point out the possibility of submitting a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Browsing history and IP address

General information on visits to Geniozz websites is captured and stored without visitors being identified. The purpose is to improve the website's quality and users' browsing experience. This information can also be used to put targeted information on the site. This allows Geniozz to tailor its services to you. Geniozz also uses your computer's IP address for this purpose. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer when you browse the internet. This information can also be used to understand how the website is being used and for analysis and reporting. In principle, IP addresses are not linked to information that would identify you, unless you have given your explicit permission for this.
